About Corey

About Corey Jackson, the CEO & Founder of JJF

Corey Jackson is the son of Jean and Willie Jackson. From a very young age, Corey has been a lover of all sports, hats, and definitely his parents.

Corey began attending the College World Series at Rosenblatt Stadium in Omaha when he was 9 years old. After a few years, his parents chose to get season tickets. He loved to go to every baseball game, and he soon developed relationships with many of the nearby season ticket holders.

Corey was very close with his mother, especially after his father died from an unexpected complication from lung surgery when Corey was 12 years old.

Jean still made sure that Corey was able to go to the College World Series every year. However, Jean had been battling breast cancer on and off since Corey was a young child. With metastasis of her cancer and struggling with an illness, Jean was called to heaven when Corey was 16 years old. She is still missed to this day by Corey and many others whose lives she touched.

With the strength of his faith and inherent tenacity, Corey found his way to survive and overcome. His appointed guardians, Stan & Ellen and the extended College World Series family gave him love, support, and sense of belonging throughout the years.

Corey hopes his story and life will serve others by giving children hope, a sense of belonging, and unforgettable memories at Omaha’s College World Series!
